For the last 15 years the Badgecraft team have been facilitating learning, mainly but not exclusively, outside of formal education settings. We work with international youth development programmes; deliver training of staff in nonprofit and business organisations; provide training for trainers and support schools in their extracurricular activities and teacher training.
We care passionately about learning in all its forms. Throughout our work we have been looking for a solution to recognise learning wherever and whenever it happens, and in 2011 we discovered Mozilla Open Badges. This discovery set us on the path to creating Badgecraft.
For us, and many others, digital open badges are a very effective way to implement meaningful assessments and accurate recognition systems for diverse types of skills and achievements. Their flexibility is a huge advantage.
We believe that recognition of skills and achievements should be:
Through Badgecraft we can offer a fun yet credible tool to assess competences, validate prior-learning, support professional development of staff and create motivating and engaging recognition systems for achievement.
Badgecraft offers a multilingual web platform to manage achievements using digital open badges. Organisations and individuals can earn, create, issue, share, sort and display badges online, plus use them to communicate achievements in the places which matter.
Our team is dedicated to supporting organisations who want to design and implement badge-based recognition systems in their work. We offer tailor made services of badge system design, staff training, consultancy and coaching to achieve the best results in your work.
